6 Tips On How to Clean Your RV

When you drive and live in the same vehicle, it can be difficult to keep your RV as tidy as desired. Can you relate? We’ve put together a few tips on how to keep your RV clean so you can enjoy life on the road.

1 . Get the right kind of vacuum

Hand-held vacuums come in handy in an RV. There are too many small places where dust or crumbs can hide for a regular size vacuum to handle. There are many options, so it’s important to do your research to choose a quality vacuum for the job!

2 . Have moisture-absorbing packets on hand

Mold and mildew are serious enemies of RVers, and they thrive in moisture, so it’s important to reduce moisture within your RV. Remember to open windows when you can, run your AC in humid weather as well as allowing those moisture-absorbing packets to collect water.

3 . What’s in the fridge?

Take everything out of your refrigerator, clean, and only put back the things that you will eat. Discard the rest. Repeat weekly. This habit will ensure that your RV doesn’t smell light leftovers.

4 . Clean Storage Areas

Don’t forget to clean out your RV’s storage areas: including external storage that often accumulates dust, dirt, and debris. Always check the nooks and crannies of your RV’s storage areas to make sure nothing is left behind that could go bad.

5 . Routine Maintenance

Mark a day on your calendar every month that you set aside for RV maintenance. Properly maintaining the inside of your RV can help keep the air clean, and the RV’s exterior.

6 . Magical Erasers

Have you heard this one yet? Magic erasers are magic to RV owners. They pick up everything and don’t harm the exterior or interior of the RV. We fully support you giving it a try!
